What was your path to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker?
I am a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about working with and helping people become the best version of themselves. I am a warm, empathetic, and client-centered therapist. I have had the pleasure of working within a variety of settings. I have worked at a day treatment program with children and teenagers diagnosed with mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. I have also worked in elementary and high school settings alongside students with special needs, such as ADHD, autism, and other physical ailments. I have always had an interest in mindfulness training and meditation techniques, which is why I have geared my sessions to reflect a holistic practice.
What should someone know about working with you?
I am available to have a 15-minute consultation session. Together, we can determine your goals and a treatment plan. I am passionate about working with mothers as well as individuals who are under stress and who are in need of an outlet where they can express their thoughts and feelings openly. Individuals who would like to have a safe space to decompress and learn various relaxation and mindfulness techniques are welcome. At times, there will be a follow-up reflection activity to do at home.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
During the past several years, many people have identified feelings of anxiety and depression with their world being turned upside down, right before their eyes. Telehealth has made it possible for many to receive help and treatment from the comfort of their own homes while being able to cope with homeschooling, loss, sickness, and other concerns. Telehealth provides an opportunity to reach people who might not have sought help by providing a safe space via video or phone sessions."
